Born in Aleppo, Syria, in 1949, Jean Boghossian grew up and studied in Lebanon. He has a degree in Economy and a diploma in Sociology from University of Saint-Joseph, Beirut.
Since 1970, he is a gem wholesaler and a jeweler. In 1992, he created the Boghossian Foundation with his father Robert and his brother Albert. In 2006, the Boghossian Foundation acquired the Villa Empain in Brussels, which was transformed into an art center dedicated to the dialogue of eastern and western cultures. He paints since 1988.
He had several solo exhibitions from 2007 to 2011 at the gallery Guy Ledune in Brussels and a solo exhibition in 2016 at Beirut Exhibition Center, two collective exhibitions in 2008 and 2009.
